Focus Matrix Now Speaks Spanish, German, and French

updatesJuly 1, 20266 min read

Focus Matrix has always been built around one simple idea: urgent and important shouldn't live in the same pile. That idea doesn't only make sense in English.

Starting today, the entire Focus Matrix experience — the matrix, task management, AI suggestions, and voice capture — is available in English, Spanish, German, and French. Not a translated landing page bolted onto an English app. The actual app you use every day, in your language.

Your app, in your language

Every screen you touch day to day now has a native translation: the matrix and its four quadrants, task creation and editing, recurring tasks, Insights, onboarding, and account settings. This isn't machine-translated placeholder text — each language went through a dedicated review pass so the wording feels natural, not like it was run through a generic translator.

The four quadrants translate too, so the framework reads the same way it always has, just in your language:

A language setting that actually controls things

Head to Settings → Language and you'll find a simple picker: choose a specific language, or leave it set to follow your device automatically. That's it — the whole app switches instantly, no restart required.

This setting isn't just a cosmetic label swap. AI quadrant suggestions, the weekly coaching review, and Smart Daily Focus all respect it too. Set your language to French and ask Focus Matrix to sort a brain dump — the suggestions and reasoning come back in French. Your app language and your AI's language are the same thing, by design.

Brain dump gets easier to use, in more languages

Voice capture — the feature that lets you speak a stream of tasks and have them sorted into the matrix for you — now works across more languages, following the same Language setting.

We also cleaned up a rough edge: voice dictation depends on your device having downloaded a voice model for your language, and that's not something every phone has out of the box. Instead of silently failing or leaving you staring at an empty text box, Focus Matrix now shows a clear setup prompt when voice needs a little help getting configured, with straightforward steps to get it working. If dictation genuinely isn't available on your device yet, typing your brain dump works exactly the same way — you don't lose anything by trying voice first.

What's not translated yet

We'd rather tell you the boundaries now than have you discover them. A couple of things are still English-only while we work through them:

  • Legal pages — our privacy policy and terms of service are still in English. Translated versions are on the roadmap.
  • This blog — for now, our blog and help content remain English-only.

Everything you actually use to plan and prioritize your day — the app itself — is fully translated. The surrounding pages are catching up.

Available now

Multi-language support is live on web, iOS, and Android. If you're already signed in, just open Settings and pick your language — no update to your subscription, no re-onboarding, nothing else changes.

More languages are on our list. If yours isn't here yet, let us know — it genuinely helps us prioritize what comes next.

Urgent and important, in whatever language you think in.
